Have you been wondering how to navigate the shifting landscape of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice and Belonging (DEIJB) thoughtfully and ethically? How can we tackle these issues in today's political climate? Furthermore, we coaches are being asked to hold space for clients experiencing stress, moral injury, and deep uncertainty about safety, belonging, and responsibility—how do we do this while often carrying these same burdens ourselves?
To be of service to yourself, your clients, and the organizations they work for, please join us on Thursday, May 21, from 12 noon to 2 p.m., ET, to exchange perspectives and learn from one another.
ICF-South Carolina has arranged with Coaching for Social Justice to facilitate this timely and important Dialogue. CSJ is a nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C., dedicated to equipping coaches to be as effective as possible in working with clients when issues of DEIB and social identity are at hand.
During plenary and break-out sessions, CSJ’s highly trained coaching supervisors will provide a safe, supportive space for healthy release of emotions, sharing your coaching-room experiences, exploring challenges, and exchanging practices for social-justice-informed coaching. Learn about dilemmas and ethical issues coaches are facing and how they are being resolved. Find answers to the question for many coaches: ‘Do I continue doing the work but change the way I talk about DEIB with my clients and their sponsors?’
The session will not be recorded to ensure privacy and confidentiality.
Facilitators: CSJ Executive Director Dan Brown, MCC, will be joined by CSJ board members Jonathan Sibley, MCEC, Judy Wolf, MCC, and members of CSJ’s highly experienced coaching supervision team.
We have dedicated a portion of the program to listening to you. How can the ICF chapters in SC, GA, TN, and NC equip you to coach in the current environment? What themes and topics are coming up for you? We will take your confidential input to design our June 5 summit, “You Belong Here,” co-sponsored with Coaching for Social Justice.
